The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 08 Network Contracting Office, has issued a Request for Information (RFI) to gather market intelligence and identify qualified sources for the potential procurement of Steris Evolution 66" Loading Carts or equivalent products for the VA Orlando Healthcare System. This RFI is strictly for information and planning purposes and does not represent a solicitation or contract offer. The carts must meet specific characteristics including durable all-stainless-steel construction, ergonomic design, compatibility with Steris sterilization systems, adjustable shelving, mobility via swivel casters, secure locking mechanisms, and the ability to support heavy loads up to 500 lbs. The intention is to assess supplier capability relative to NAICS code 339113 and gather information on company size classification, business status (e.g., SDVOSB, WOSB, Hubzone), manufacturing or distribution roles, subcontracting plans, federal contract holdings, compliance with the Buy American Act, and pricing data for market research purposes only. Respondents are asked to provide detailed company information, demonstrate how their products meet or exceed the specified characteristics, and offer feedback regarding the requirements. Submission of pricing and capability data will assist the government in acquisition planning and decision-making but will not be evaluated for award at this stage. Responses must be submitted via email by April 4, 2025, and should clearly state if the product is commercial off-the-shelf and confirm registration details such as SAM number. Further solicitation or contract opportunities may follow based on the information received, but this RFI does not guarantee an award or solicit responses to any future bid. The contract point of contact for this effort is Carl Myers at the VA Network Contracting Office in Tampa, Florida.
