The contract outlines a notice of intent to compete exclusively among Stryker-authorized distributors for the supply and installation of Stryker Brand Standard Anesthesia Booms, Standard Powered Equipment Booms, and Custom Nurse Stations specifically for the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Providence, Rhode Island. This is a set-aside competition limited to Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) under FAR 12.6 and VAAR regulations, reflecting a streamlined procurement process. The original equipment manufacturer (OEM), Stryker, holds proprietary rights to the products and their distribution, restricting competition to a defined list of authorized distributors including Beacon Point Associates, TrillaMed, Four Points Technology, Veterans Healthcare Supply Solutions, and Academy Medical. The anticipated contract period is one year, falling under NAICS code 339113 with a size standard of 800 employees, and classified under product service code (PSC) 6515. The solicitation is not publicly posted on Contract Opportunities Sam.gov due to the exclusivity of the brand, and no solicitation packages will be mailed or provided by phone. Interested distributors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and express their intent to participate by noon on June 16, 2023. The contract emphasizes adherence to VA regulations regarding gray market and counterfeit items, and inquiries can be directed to the assigned contracting specialist at the Network Contracting Office 1 in New England.
