The purpose of this Sources Sought Announcement is for market research, to make appropriate acquisition decisions, and to gain knowledge of potential qualified businesses capable of providing the following:

1. Purpose The purpose of this Statement of Work is to outline the requirements for the purchase, delivery, and implementation of the Symphonie Aqua Compact System with CA800 COM components. The system is required to enhance the precision and efficiency of prosthetic socket impressions through advanced weight bearing casting technology.
2. Background The Prosthetics Department currently utilizes traditional casting methods that do not consistently capture residual limb anatomy under true weight bearing conditions. These limitations lead to extended fabrication timelines, repeated adjustments, increased material usage, and reduced patient comfort. The Symphonie Aqua Compact System is specifically designed to produce anatomically accurate, full weight bearing impressions using a specialized, distally fixed membrane. Adoption of this system is expected to significantly reduce remakes, improve clinical outcomes, and streamline prosthetic fabrication workflow.
3. Scope of Work The contractor shall provide all necessary equipment, accessories, documentation, and training required for full operational use of the Symphonie Aqua Compact System. This includes: Delivery of the Symphonie Aqua Compact + CA800 COM Installation and setup at KCVAMC Verification of system function in accordance with manufacturer standards On site user training for clinical and technical prosthetics staff Delivery of all manuals, warranty information, and product documentation This SOW includes delivery, installation, configuration, and staff training.
4. Applicable Documents The contractor shall supply all relevant user manuals, instructional materials, warranty terms, and maintenance guidance for the Symphonie Aqua Compact System.
5. Requirements 5.1 Technical Requirements: The system must meet the following specifications: Ability to generate plaster impressions under full weight bearing load Specialized, distally fixed membrane capable of capturing uniform anatomical detail Use of patient weight and limb girth to produce accurate pressure distribution Ability to support mobile use with an equalizing tank Production of anatomically precise limb impressions that reduce corrective adjustments 5.2 Training Requirements: The contractor shall provide on site training for designated prosthetic clinicians and technicians. Training must include: System operation and setup Safety and proper use guidelines Impression taking techniques using the Symphonie Aqua system Cleaning, maintenance, and troubleshooting
6. Deliverables The contractor shall provide the following deliverables: One (1) Symphonie Aqua Compact System CA800 COM components Installation and verification of functionality On site training for staff All product manuals and warranty documents
7. Period of Performance Delivery: Within 30 days of contract award (or as negotiated) Installation & Setup: Within 10 business days of delivery Training: Completed within 10 business days of installation
