The Department of Veterans Affairs, on behalf of the Syracuse VA Medical Center, intends to award a Firm Fixed Price sole source contract to TrillaMed, LLC, a verified service-disabled veteran-owned small business. This decision complies with FAR Part 13 and VAAR 819.7008 and is based on the requirement to procure specific GE Healthcare ultrasound equipment compatible with existing devices at the medical center. The sole source award is justified by brand name exclusivity due to the need for compatibility with current ultrasound scanning probes in use, ensuring clinical consistency, flexibility, and operational efficiency. The purchase includes the GE Venue Go R3 Focus Package with associated probes, printer, cart, and support services, all of which align with the equipment currently utilized by clinicians within the inpatient Spinal Cord Injury unit at Syracuse VAMC. Market research confirmed TrillaMed, LLC as the only SDVOSB authorized distributor for GE Healthcare products that meet these specifications. The notice is not a request for quotes but allows responsible sources to submit capability statements by a stated deadline for government consideration. The award process aligns with strict Veterans Health Administration policies prohibiting gray market items, ensuring all equipment originates from authorized distribution channels. Communication and submissions are managed by Contact Specialist Tracy Vega, and the action satisfies public posting requirements under FAR 13.501.
