The SPECIAL FEB 2026 Equipment Only Consolidation is a procurement initiative managed by the VA National Acquisition Center's High Tech Medical Equipment Division, exclusively open to companies holding current contracts for specified equipment types with either this division or the Defense Logistics Agency, Troop Support, under delegated ordering authority. The process will be publicly posted on SAM starting March 18, 2026, with key milestones including submission of requirements, vendor questions, offer submissions, technical evaluations, and final award execution, occurring between late February and late May 2026. All communications during solicitation and evaluation phases are tightly controlled and must be coordinated through designated NAC personnel, specifically the Consolidation Coordinators Hermann Degbegni and Michael Kuchyak, or authorized Contracting Officers to maintain fairness and confidentiality in vendor interactions. Vendors are instructed not to contact the NAC or individual VISNs or Medical Centers directly regarding selection status to avoid delays, as updates will be provided once selections are finalized. The process emphasizes protecting source selection information, limiting communications to clarify equipment features without discussing pricing or additional quotes, and requiring vendor presentations to be conducted under Contracting Officer supervision. This consolidation aims to streamline equipment procurement for the VA, ensuring a fair and transparent selection while adhering to strict timelines and communication protocols. The contract solicitation number is 36A79726Q0014, with responses due by mid-April 2026, and the overseeing office is located in Hines, Illinois.
