The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 06 awarded a contract to Trillamed LLC, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business authorized distributor, on June 4, 2024, for the procurement of Omnicell pharmacy workstations for the Hampton VA Medical Center. The total award amount was 313,918.98 dollars under solicitation 36C24624Q0840. This acquisition was processed as a sole source justification under FAR 13.5 Simplified Acquisition Procedures for Certain Commercial Items, as Omnicell is the only manufacturer capable of providing equipment compatible with the facility's existing proprietary infrastructure. The replacement workstations are essential for integration with the current Omnicell Pharmacy system, ensuring seamless communication with the Omnicell server and VISTA/CPRS, as well as maintaining control over temperature-sensitive fridge locks. Market research confirmed that no other brand or vendor could provide interoperable equipment without incurring significant duplication of costs or requiring server revisions. The procurement was determined to be fair and reasonable based on discounted pricing from the established schedule.

J025--NEW CART MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR
Solicitation # 36C24627Q0057
Solicitation 36C24627Q0057 was issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 6, for a base year plus four option year service contract to provide preventive maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair services for government-owned golf carts and utility vehicles at the Hampton VA Medical Center in Hampton, Virginia. The intended scope of work included tire rotations, battery water level checks, lubrication of friction areas, and general repairs with a not-to-exceed value of 125,000 for parts and labor not covered in the regular maintenance cycle. The contract was designated as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business set-aside and required the contractor to provide all necessary personnel, tools, and transportation for vehicle pickup and delivery. However, via Amendment 0003, the Government has canceled this solicitation in its entirety. This decision followed a review of clarification requests from vendors, which revealed that the Performance Work Statement required substantive revisions regarding the scope of services, equipment specifications, contractor responsibilities, and pricing requirements. Consequently, no award will be made under this solicitation to ensure that any future procurement is based on a clearly defined and consistent set of requirements. Interested vendors are encouraged to monitor SAM.gov for a potentially revised solicitation.
