The project’s general scope of work is to furnish all tools, equipment, material, permits, labor, supervision, and all other necessary resources to accomplish the following work:

This project replaces a portion of the existing campus water loop piping and existing campus water loop isolation valves.  The project also includes installing a water booster pump that will be powered by a new equipment branch of emergency power in Building 22.  For the new equipment branch of emergency power to be added, new wiring will feed from Building 19 (generator building) utilizing an existing underground conduit to Building 22 to feed a new emergency power distribution panel which will replace the existing emergency power distribution panel that does not meet code requirements.  Installation of a new automatic transfer switch and panelboard along with wiring and conduits will be required to create the new equipment branch of emergency power.

The project will also disturb many portions of the existing asphalt roadways and parking lots as well as concrete sidewalks and curbing due to excavation work.  The contractor shall patch or replace asphalt and concrete as shown on the drawings and repair any areas of the landscaping and lawn that get disturbed during the project.

The existing campus water loop piping is located below many of the existing campus roadways and sidewalks, and it is anticipated that most of the new piping will be as well.  Therefore, this project shall be completed in phases to allow campus access for employees and Veterans and maintain water service until a tie-in to an existing building service pipe is to take place.  If a shutdown of water service for any building is required during the duration of the project, it must be coordinated with the COR.

Period of performance is 300 calendar days from receipt of the Notice to Proceed.
