The U.S. Department of Commerce, NOAA, intends to purchase the following item from Belfort Instrument Company, Baltimore, MD: Punch Holder and Die Assembly, Belfort Part Number 625A401U01, NSN: 6625-00-350-3541, ASN: D111-8A162. The specifications for this item are proprietary to Belfort Instrument Company, making them the only known source of supply. The Government does not have the specifications or drawings for this equipment. The punch holder and die assembly is being purchased for the National Weather Service (NWS) to be put into stock at the National Logistics Support Center in Kansas City, MO. The intended acquisition is for supplies for which the Government intends to acquire under the guidelines of FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisitions Procedures. Any small business source capable of providing the exact make and model of equipment specified herein is encouraged to respond to this announcement within ten (10) calendar days of its publication. Interested firms should submit in writing its name, address, point of contact, telephone number business size and a brief statement regarding its capability to provide the specified equipment. Also include the name, telephone number, and point of contact for businesses or other Government agencies to which it has previously provided the item. Failure to provide the required information will deem a request non-responsive. This is not a request for proposals and there is no solicitation available at this time. The Government reserves the right to solicit bids based on receipt of affirmative responses to this notice or issue an order to Belfort Instrument Company, whichever is determined to be more advantageous to the Government without further notice.
