The VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System s (VAPHS) Pathology & laboratory Medicine Service (P&LM) is requesting award of a firm fixed price, purchase order. Award is to be made on an other than full and open competition basis to Roche Diagnostics Corporation. This purchase order will allow adequate supplies to be delivered while a long term competitive procurement for these same reagents is underway. Said purchase order will provide for phased delivery, over a sixty (60) day period, of antibodies, special stains, cell conditioners, and other associated histology reagents for use in conjunction with P&LM s existing Roche Diagnostics Corporation, Ventana histology staining platform (equipment) for the performance of, immunohistochemistry, in situ hybridization (IHC/IHS) studies. These studies are used in the specific diagnosis of both common and rare tumors encountered in human tissues.
