The Naval Research Laboratory intends to contract with IPG Photonics Corporation for the purchase of a Model YLR-100, a 1000 Watt single mode Ytterbium fiber laser featuring specific technical requirements. The laser must include a red aiming diode with an Optoskand connector, an air-cooled Optoskand communication interface, a 25mm diameter FL collimator, continuous wave operation delivering 1000W output power at a central wavelength of 1075 ± 5 nm, a linewidth under 5nm, beam quality M² less than 1.2, single mode output, power output tunable between 10% and 105%, long-term power stability within ±3%, a maximum modulation speed of 10 kHz, and compatibility with 240 VAC power supply. The delivery timeline is set for no more than 14 weeks after contract award. NRL's market research concluded that IPG Photonics is uniquely qualified as the sole commercial supplier capable of meeting these stringent specifications regarding power level, wavelength, beam quality, and output collimator. The procurement will be conducted on a non-competitive basis, and this notice is not a solicitation. Interested parties may find additional business opportunities with NRL through their website. Key contacts for this procurement include Eric J Sogard and Contracting Officer Patricia A Lewis, reachable via provided email and phone information.
