Notice of Intent to award a Sole Source Procurement. The government intends to issue a sole source purchase order for procurement of 1 each Manual EPD Irradiator, P/N: EPD/1/32000/001 Single Irradiator for the EPD, an upgrade to computers/software that control all Irradiators, captures calibration/radiation response information, and stores said information in a central database. These upgrades are required in order to comply with Air Force Directed Computer System TCNOs with Thermo Fisher Scientific, 27 Forge Parkway, Franklin MA 02038. The 311th Human Systems Wing/PKBA, Brooks City-Base TX intends to award a purchase order by other than full and open competition in accordance with Subpart 6.302-1 (b) (4). Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement was made because Thermo Fisher Scientific is the only source of supply identified within the Air Force Medical Logistics Allowance Standards 887A under national stock number 6665L000015.
