Full Description

This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT using Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR Part 13 and FAR 6.302-2 for other than full and open competition.. The Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground, Tenant Division, 4118 Susquehanna Avenue, APG, MD 21005 has a requirement to procure the following items: CLIN 0001 QTY: 4 UNIT: EACH 43731-62933 150KV right angle X-Ray Tube Head, 130-529000 CLIN 0002 QTY: 15 UNIT: EACH 150 KV Single Flash X-ray tube 3mm spot size, CLIN 0003 QTY: 500 UNIT: FT 8120-4943 150 KV Raw tube head interconnect cable, high voltage, The intended delivery date for the item(s) is 10 weeks after receipt of order. The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) sole source order/contract to L3 Applied Technologies, Inc. Design and specifications of these Flash Radiography system are proprietary to L3 Applied Technologies, Inc. No other manufacturer can provide compatible system components to the existing system currently in use. The associated North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334517 and the Business Size Standard is 500. All responses received within ten (10) days after date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 2:00 PM Eastern Time, Friday, March 1, 2015. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements.
