This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. White Sands Missile Range (WSMR), New Mexico has a requirement for a one (1) Portable X-Ray System. The successful offeror would provide a portable X-Ray system that meets or exceeds th e performance requirements and be evaluated in the order of technically acceptable low price. The technical requirements are as follows: Portable X-Ray System must have the following items: a. One (1) Tube head, 300kV minimum, 3mA (900w) minimum, Air-Cooled with Integral Fan, Single Focal Spot (3.0mm / 1.5mm), Lightest Available Portable Tube head Weight with Equivalent or Higher Tube head Power Features, Maximum Weight of 40 kg (88.2 lbs), b. One (1) Digital Control Unit, Weight: 8 kg (17,6 lbs) Maximum, c. One (1) Power Connecting Cable (115 VAC), d. Two (2) Interconnect Cables, e. One (1) Canvas Bag for connection cables, f. One (1) Carrying Cradle to mount X-Ray Tube, g. One (1) Two Part Four-Legged Stand with Angle Indication and Holding Rail, that Allows Safe Handling and Mounting to the Tube-Head with a Simple and Quick Set-Up to Various Exposure Positions, h. One (1) External Fail Safe (Red) Warning Flash Lamp with Cable, i. One (1) Tripod Stand for Flash Lamp, j. One (1) Aluminum Transport Box for Tube head, k. One (1) Aluminum Transport Box for Control Unit, l. One (1) Laser Centering Device for Tube head, Flip Type (Not Snap-On Type) with Adaptable Mounting Bracket. m. Two (2) Operation Manuals, n.
