66--SiC Wafers

The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, CA intends to procure on an other than full and open competition basis the following: 1) SiC Wafers, 4H-SIC, HPSI, 100.0 mm diameter, part number W4TRF8R-0200 (Quantity – 23 each). This requirement is sole sourced to Cree, Inc., 4600 Silicon Drive, Durham, NC 27703 due to unique capability. These 100 MM diameter 4H-type SiC wafers are unique to this vendor. There are no other known manufacturers or distributors that offer 4H-SiC, n-type, 100 mm wafers with resistivity greater than or equal to 2 ohm-cm. Any firms believing that they can provide the material may submit a written response to be received at the Contracting Office no later than 5 days after the date of publication of this notice, clearly showing its ability to do so without compromising the quality, accuracy, and reliability of the data without causing programmatic hardship to the program.
