Notice of Intent to Award Other Than Full and Open Competition/Sole Source Procurement TEKNOLOGIC LLC 21727 76th Ave West, Suite C Edmonds, WA 98026 The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service (USFWS) in Portland Oregon intends to award a sole source fixed-price purchase order under authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedure, and FAR 6.302-1, Requirement to purchase 10 battery powered autonomous receivers compatible with JSAT acoustic tags. Data extraction should be accomplished via an external connector on the electronics pressure vessel and opening the pressure vessel is not required. Extracted detection and sensor data readily imports into spreadsheets. The receivers should utilize an easily replaceable rechargeable battery pack with a battery life of approximately 120 days. Require a portable receiver capable of monitoring detections of JSAT acoustic tags ¿real time¿ to support tag censusing prior to fish release and to detect tags from kayaks or jet boats. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 334511 Instrument Manufacturing. The size standard is 750 employees. The Universal Product Code for this procurement is 6640. Due to complexity and time constraints, this requirement is being awarded without full and open competition and no solicitation or Request for Quote (RFQ) is available. Nevertheless, any firm that believes it is capable of meeting the USFWS requirements described herein may submit a response no later than 07/03/2015, by 1500 (PST) for consideration. A determination not to compete the described purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Federal Government.
