36C25023Q0693 SPECIAL NOTICE NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE Brainsonix The Cleveland Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center, 10701 East Blvd Cleveland, OH 44106 intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.1061(b)(1)-Contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. The NAICS code is 334510 with a small business size standard of 1,250. The VA intends to solicit and negotiate with BrainSonix 15002 Sunstone Place Sherman Oaks, CA 91403. The Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center, Cleveland Ohio is requesting the Brainsonix Pulsar 1002 with 65mm and 80mm transducers and ultrasound console. The BrainSonix Devices are turnkey investigational system for neuromodulation research using transcranial focused ultrasound. This device offers the most precise measurement that meets the parameters for the targeted research purpose. Other persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by Monday May 15, 2023 at 12PM EST. Such capabilities information will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. - All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
