The contract is expected to be awarded under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1), as implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b) Soliciting from a Single Source. Market research identified the Periolase MVP-7 laser from Millennium Dental Technologies is the only Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved device for the LANAP protocol for true periodontal regeneration of the attachment apparatus (new cementum, new periodontal ligament, and new alveolar bone) on a previously diseased FboNotice surface.- FDA 510(k) notice 151763. The Periolase was designed to deliver laser energy within the specific therapeutic parameters necessary to correctly perform the LANAP Protocol. No other laser has been certified to perform the LANAP Protocol.
