The Department of Veterans Affairs, specifically the James J. Peters VA Medical Center, intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Innovive, LLC for the purchase of Innovive Innorack® ventilated caging systems. These caging systems are proprietary and currently in use by the Research Service/Veterinary Medical Unit (VMU) at the facility. Due to ongoing renovations, the VMU requires compatible disposable caging that works exclusively with the existing Innovive Innorack® system, which is only available through Innovive as the sole manufacturer and distributor of this specialized ventilated system. This contract is being pursued under the sole source exception outlined in FAR 6.302-1, and this notice does not constitute a request for competitive proposals. However, any Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), authorized dealer, distributor, or reseller who believes they can provide the required items may submit a capability statement to the contracting office by the specified deadline of April 8, 2022, at 3:00 PM EDT. Submissions must be made electronically to the designated contract specialist, Shannon Hukriede, as no telephone inquiries will be accepted. The decision to proceed without competition rests solely with the government based on the responses received.
