AI Contract Overview
The government is conducting a market research survey to identify qualified sources capable of delivering liquid propane gas to the USGS Conte Research Laboratory in Turners Falls, Massachusetts. This is not a solicitation or commitment to contract but an effort to gauge industry interest and capability, particularly encouraging participation from various small business categories such as Small Business, 8(a), HUBZone, SDVOSB, WOSB, and EDWOSB firms. The anticipated requirement is for automatic deliveries of propane 4-6 times annually, averaging 18,000 to 20,000 gallons per year, with potential usage reaching up to 30,000 gallons in colder winters. Due to access limitations at the delivery site, where bridges have weight restrictions, smaller delivery trucks may be necessary. Interested businesses must submit their company name, address, contact information, Unique Entity Identifier (UEI), a capability statement highlighting recent relevant experience, size status, and confirm they are registered on the System for Award Management (SAM). Responses are due by May 13, 2026, at 10:00 AM Eastern time, sent via email to the designated government point of contact. This sources sought notice facilitates the government’s efforts to ensure adequate competition and is intended to inform potential future solicitations, which will be publicly posted on SAM.gov. Responders are responsible for monitoring the site for updates and future procurement opportunities.
