Notice of Intent to Award - Sole Source FMS Procurement PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: The Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI) has a requirement to procure the following items for the Bulgarian Military. This requirement will result in a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) FMS sole-source contract to Saab Training USA LLC estimated at $1.8M. Quantity Description 105 - Personal Protective Device (PPD) Deployable Instrumentation Training System (DITS) 105 - Small Arms Trainer (SAT) application AK47 2 - SAT Application SVDs 10 - SAT Application PKM 10 - Anti-Tank Weapon DITS (RPG-7) 10 - Weapon Training Station (WTS) for BMP-1 2 - IED Kits 1 - Military Operations in Urban Terrain (MOUT) Set (for indoor tracking of PPD DITS Kits) 2 - Controller Guns 25 - Engagement Treatment (feedback) Simulators 5 - Medical Treatment Simulators 12 - Battery Chargers for PDD/WTS/IED 2 - Battery Chargers for ATW 231 - Batteries for PDD/WTS/IED 12 - Batteries for ATW, spares, and ancillary devices The hardware listed above will be integrated into the Bulgarian Armed Forces Deployable Instrumentation Training System (DITS), therefore all hardware and software shall comply with all existing system interfaces, MILES Laser Codes, Radio frequencies, EXCON Tracking software, and the Joint Conflict and Tactical Simulation (JCATS) over the gateway that was previously fielded. An exact match to the previously fielded DITs system is required due to interoperability and stock of spares and repair parts fielded under the previous program. The Period of Performance (POP) for this effort is 12 months after contract award, and includes Operator/Maintenance manuals and New Equipment Training (NET). The effort will utilize FMS Section 1206 Funds.
