The E-2D Hawkeye Integrated Training Systems (HITS)-III effort involves the procurement of the following: one (1) Tactics Trainer (TT) deployed to Naval Base Ventura County (NBVC) Point Mugu, California, aircraft-to-simulator concurrency updates (including Aerial Refueling capability), and Aircraft Change Directives (ACD)/Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) to be retrofitted into other HITS devices (TT, Simulated Maintenance Trainer (SMT), Power Plant Trainer (PPT), Aircrew Procedure Trainer (APT) and Operational Flight Trainer (OFT)). Additionally, HITS-III will include integration and testing of third party software applications, address obsolescence issues across the suite of HITS devices listed above, and deliver integrated interoperable devices. Lastly, training system logistics support, technical data, and training (maintenance, user, and cyber security and software support) has been procured.
