The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), VISN 02 Network Contracting Office, is seeking sources that can provide one (1) Clinical Driving Simulator with a three-panel LED driver display system, accompanying Vection run-time software for real-time simulation and other components listed below. This clinical driving simulator at a minimum must meet the following salient characteristics: The clinical driving simulator must be a compact, non-immersive Driving Simulation system optimized for use in clinical settings. It is designed as a clinical tool for driver rehabilitation and driving performance measurement tool for ambulatory, wheelchair transfer and non-transfer clients. Includes realistic automotive vehicle components, computers, bariatric car seat, 3-panel LED driver display system, audio system, management tablet, networking equipment and cabling. All steel construction. Vinyl bucket seat with seat tracks, electric seat lift (4 vertical adjustment). Seat belt and shoulder strap. Fully functional passenger door, arm rest, handles, lock, and key. Open design for easy access by therapist. Adaptive Equipment package including specially integrated Push-Rock and Push Pull Style controls for gas and brakes, L foot accelerator, interchangeable styles of hand controls including spinner knob for steering wheel, detachable seat/base for wheelchair access, wheelchair transfer bar. Vection run-time software for real-time simulation. Full SimClinic® Library, including Phases 1, 2, 3 and 4. Therapist inspired exercises and scenarios designed to service the needs of Occupational Therapists as well as driving rehabilitation specialists. Dimensions: 32in W x 60in L x 56in H; Wt. 370lb Retractable casters. 1-year warranty. 1-year technical support & software maintenance. Installation. Onsite ½ day training. Must include Software License Agreement, Technical Support Agreement, Schedule of Covered System Components, and Schedule of Fees and Rates. Bariatric seat: provides 9 fore/aft adjustment to fit wide range of clients. Electric seat lift: provides over 4 vertical adjustment to fit wide range of clients. Eye-relief adjusting displays: the displays adjust forward and backward as needed to maintain consistent, optimal eye-relief distance from screens to driver s eyepoint for all sizes of drivers and seat positions Reduced-immersion displays: three 22 LED displays are optimized for client comfort and effectiveness during simulation. Retina-limited visual resolution displays: by using high resolution displays at our prescribed eye relief distance, the displays achieve greater than eye-limited resolution. This provides excellent support for clients for visual target detection and visual discrimination tasks. High quality audio simulation: includes dynamic panning and Doppler-shift effects on a premium sound system with powered subwoofer. Wheelchair Transfer Frame: facilitates wheelchair transfer training. Removable seat platform: allows full wheelchair access with standard adaptive equipment. Electric dashboard lift: Must provide a fully height-adjustable driving dashboard to accommodate the entire range of wheelchair heights. Adaptive Equipment: Built-in left-foot accelerator (stowable when not in use) plus custom mount for genuine Sure Grip interchangeable styles of hand controls, including Push/Rock, Push/Right Angle, and Push/Pull styles, plus spinner knob on the wheel. *The VA has a preference for domestically manufactured items in the United States.
