Solicitation # 2027-12
The Town of Stratford is soliciting bids under solicitation number 2027-12 to replace all existing Nutanix systems and implement a new Nutanix system to serve as a public safety disaster recovery node. Because the town has already selected an integrator, this procurement is strictly limited to the hardware, software, and support detailed in the bid attachments for the Primary Data Center and the DR Node. Required hardware includes specific Nutanix nodes with Intel Xeon processors, DDR5 memory modules, and NVMe solid state drives. Software requirements specify 3-year Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure Pro subscriptions, and support must be quoted for both 1-year and 3-year terms. The town will not accept equivalent or replacement items; all equipment must exactly match the provided specifications. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked BID #2027-12 to the Purchasing Department at 2725 Main Street, Room 104, Stratford, Connecticut, by 10:00 AM on October 30, 2026. Electronic submissions are prohibited. Eligible bidders must be authorized dealers, distributors, or resellers and must provide at least three business references. Evaluation will be based on technical specifications, competitive cost, product availability, and the locality of the service center. The award may be granted to a single bidder or split among multiple bidders. Successful contractors must provide a certificate of insurance from a company licensed in Connecticut and certify compliance with Federal and State OSHA standards. All pricing must be inclusive of shipping, freight, taxes, insurance, and warranties.

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial service prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will NOT be issued. This is a Request For Quote (RFQ) and the solicitation number is F2VVJ67135A200. The 6th Contracting Squadron, MacDill AFB, Florida, requires the following items: Google Search Appliance ? 500,000 documents, includes hardware, software and 2 years ?disconnected? support, plus software updates. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-16 effective 22 March 2007, DFAR DCN 20070426, and AFFAR AFAC 20070314. Fed Biz Ops Numbered Notes per FAR Part 5.207-13(e) Apply: 1. The North American Industry Classification System code (NAICS) is 423430, Computer and Computer Peripheral Equipment and Software Merchant Wholesalers. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) is 5045, Computers Merchant Wholesalers. This requirement is being solicited as a 100% small business set aside. A firm fixed price contract will be awarded. All interested parties must bid on all items.DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT: 1. Part # GB-1001-500K-DIS - 500,000 documents, includes hardware, software and 2 years ?disconnected? support, plus software updates This requirement is a Brand Name. See Justification below: United States Central Command (USCENTCOM) J6, requires the continual services and support provided by the Google Search Appliance. The Google Search Appliance is compatible and authorized for use with systems operating on the Secret Internet Protocol Router (SIPR) Network. The Google Search Appliance is the only search engine that meets or exceeds all standards required for USCENTCOM. The Google Search Appliance allows USCENTCOM users to efficiently manage and search more than 500,000 documents within a single network using a single search engine. USCENTCOM personnel are trained and familiar with the Google Search Appliance. To pursue another option would cost many man hours in training and implementation which could be avoided by purchasing the maintenance renewal for the Google Search Appliance. It is not reasonable nor is it cost effective to purchase another brand when it too would require maintenance renewal. Award will be made to the quotation which offers the best value to the government. Multiple awards may be accomplished if any items are determined to be unbalanced. The Government also reserves the right to make no award at all. DELIVERY ADDRESS: Item is to be procured on behalf of United States Central Command (USCENTCOM), MacDill AFB (Tampa), FL 33621.
