Full Description

THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT (NOI) ONLY. The Social Security Administration intends to negotiate solely with Lead Technologies, Inc. doing business as Medicor Imaging, 1201 Green Cliff, Suite 400 Charlotte, NC 28204, under the Authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13.106-1 (b)(1) as the Contracting Officer (CO) has determinied that the circumstances of this contract deem only one source reasonable available. This procurement will acquire the maintenance renewal on LeadTools Document Imaging SDK Version 14.5 and Barcode Read Module Version 14.5. These products will allow the DMA developers to create applications and deploy new funtionality and software modifications immediately into the SSA lifecycle. The products will also allow developers to easily script custom applications and deploy to hundreds of servers and workstations. The vendor (Lead Technologies Inc, doing business as Medicor Imaging) owns all proprietary rights to the software's source code, maintenance support, updates, upgrades, and fixes. No other source can maintain the software, nor provide the relevant upgrades/maintenance coverage. Other organizations possessing the requisite expertise and resources are invited to submit information concerning their capabilities, expertise, and other pertinent data. Pricing may be submitted. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill this requirement. This is not a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The Government does not intend to pay for information reveived. This SSA does not identify other acceptable sources capable of providing the necessary software license maintenance support, SSA shall issue a sole source award under FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Responses to this notice should be submitted by July 23, 2007. Requests for copies of a solicitation will not be honored or acknowledged. Oral communications are NOT acceptable.
