The Social Security Administration (SSA) is seeking information from responsible vendors capable of providing software upgrades and ongoing maintenance support for six specific Government-owned Oracle software products, including Database Enterprise Edition, Enterprise Managers Diagnostics Pack, Tuning Pack, Partitioning, Data Mining options, and Internet Application Server Enterprise Edition. This support covers a 60-month period from February 20, 2005, through February 19, 2010, with maintenance services required 24/7 via an 800 number and an electronic system that facilitates technical and non-technical assistance requests, severity coding, and request tracking. Vendors must also maintain a software license inventory database jointly with SSA and ensure compliance with Section 508 Electronic and Information Technology Accessibility Standards, reflecting federal requirements for accessibility by persons with disabilities. Oracle Corporation is recognized as the only known source capable of providing the required upgrades and support for these products. The SSA invites other qualified vendors with relevant expertise, resources, and GSA contract information to submit their capabilities within 15 calendar days of the announcement. This request is for information only and not a formal solicitation or request for quotation; no payments will be made for submissions. If no viable alternative vendors respond, SSA intends to negotiate directly with Oracle. Responses may be mailed or emailed to the designated contract specialist, with specified attachment size limitations and preferred file formats. The SSA will conduct pre-award testing for IWS/LAN compatibility and Section 508 compliance before accepting any software products.
