The Government plans to award a sole-source contract to Trendway Corporation for the purchase, delivery, and installation of new modular office workstations, private office furniture, and furniture for break and conference rooms at the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) Central Region’s St. Louis Branch Office. This action is justified under FAR 6.302-1 to ensure compatibility with previously acquired Trendway furniture, as the DCAA is relocating some existing items and supplementing with additional pieces to support personnel growth and office reconfiguration. Trendway has a history of completing fifteen projects for this region using the same product line, which helps maintain standardized furniture types, sizes, and configurations throughout the Central Region. This standardization allows flexibility in reconfiguring office spaces locally and regionally. The acquisition will be executed through a Firm-Fixed-Price contract, aligning with the NAICS code 337214, pertaining to office furniture manufacturing, with a size standard of 500 employees. Although this is a sole-source procurement, interested parties may submit expressions of interest and capability within fifteen calendar days of the synopsis publication. The ultimate decision not to compete remains at the government's discretion. The contracting office managing this procurement is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers District Supply & Services Office in Mobile, Alabama, with Mary F. Jackson serving as the point of contact.
