The contract involves a sole source procurement with Herman Miller/ID&A, Inc. for the removal, storage, and reinstallation of existing warranted furniture at the Desroches Military Training Facility (MTF) at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. The project includes moving the furniture to temporary training facilities during repairs to the permanent locations, then reinstalling the warranted furniture alongside newly procured modular furniture that must be installed by the manufacturer or authorized dealer to maintain warranty coverage. Additionally, the vendor is responsible for relocating furniture from Hunter Hall, placing it into storage without installation, and subsequently reinstalling it at Hunter Hall. Services also encompass technical design, specification, and electrical work related to the furniture installation. This procurement will be executed under a firm-fixed-price contract following Other Than Full and Open Competition procedures pursuant to statutory and regulatory authorities, specifically 10 U.S.C. 2304(1) and FAR 13.5.
