725-6BB-2580- Install Fiber Conduit and Vaults

Caltrans has approved an encroachment permit for American Dark Fiber LLC to install 498 feet of underground high-density polyethylene conduit containing fiber optic cable along State Route 101 at post mile 19.23 in the City of Encino, Los Angeles County. The project includes the construction of thirty-six-inch-wide by sixty-inch-long by thirty-six-inch-deep vaults within Caltrans right-of-way, with excavation limited to a maximum depth of 42 inches, an average width of 12 inches, and no new right-of-way acquisition or utility relocation required. Temporary traffic control measures, including signage and devices, will be installed and maintained to ensure public safety during construction. All work is confined to the existing state right-of-way, and no additional land or infrastructure adjustments are needed. The project is managed by Caltrans District 7, with Mojgan Abbassi, Senior Environmental Scientist, serving as the primary point of contact for inquiries and oversight.
