7th Street Bridge Project

The 7th Street Bridge Project in Modesto, Stanislaus County, involves replacing an existing two-lane bridge over the Tuolumne River with a new four-lane bridge. This initiative is designed to correct structural and hydraulic deficiencies while enhancing safety for vehicles, bicyclists, and pedestrians. In addition to the bridge replacement, the scope of work includes the construction of a new maintenance access road and a stormwater drainage outlet. The project is estimated to span three work seasons. The project is governed by the California Environmental Quality Act, with a Final Environmental Impact Report and Addendum confirming that the project will have a significant environmental effect, necessitating the adoption of specific mitigation measures and a monitoring plan.
