The USA Robert Morris Acquisition Center-Natick, supporting the U.S. Army Soldier and Biological Chemical Command, intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order to Propper International Sales for the manufacture of specialized Battledress Uniforms. The requirement includes 250 Woodland-Temperate-Twill and 250 Woodland-Enhanced Hot Weather-Ripstop uniforms, both utilizing wrinkle-free treated Delta Fabric. These garments are intended for a wear test in August 2002 to evaluate a specific post-cure resin permanent press treatment applied at the finishing plant and fixed through high-temperature pressing and curing. This procurement is being conducted on a non-competitive basis under Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 6.302-1 because Propper International Sales possesses the unique facilities and existing partnerships with fabric suppliers necessary to meet the tight production schedule and technical specifications. While the government intends to negotiate with this specific source to avoid duplication of costs and delays, it will consider other quotations received by June 3, 2002, to determine if a competitive procurement is warranted.

General Info

A Firm Fixed Price purchase order is anticipated. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATIO N. The proposed purchase order is for the manufacture of 250 Each (various sizes) of Woodland-Temperate-Twill Battledress Uniforms (BDUs), trouser and coat, using Wrinkle Free Treated Delta Fabric; and 250 Each (various sizes) of Woodland-Enhanced Hot Wea ther-Ripstop Battledress Uniforms (BDUs), trouser and coat, using Wrinkle Free Treated Delta Fabric.
