NOTICE - The Mission & Installation Contracting Command (MICC) intends to award a Sole Source Firm Fixed Price contract to CENTRAL SOD FARMS OF MARYLAND INC, 920 JOHN BROWN RD, CENTREVILLE, MD 21617-1749 on or before 29 March 2011, for delivery of sod at the Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington VA. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition for this procurement is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (2) in accordance with FAR 6.302-2. Note: This notice is provided for informational purposes only. DESCRIPTION - The Arlington National Cemetery has a requirement for the delivery an estimated 75,000 to 79,000 square yards of sod grown and certified by the State of Maryland to Arlington National Cemetery. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Vendors may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which may be considered by the Agency. Any vendor that believes it can provide the stated capability within the established timeframe is invited to submit written notification to the contract specialist below no later than 25 March 2011 at 11:00AM EST. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the firm's ability to provide the stated capability within the established timeframe.
