The Program Executive Office, Land Systems and Marine Corps Systems Command are seeking a modernized, expeditionary, and scalable aviation command and control capability through the Common Aviation Command and Control System program. Utilizing an evolutionary acquisition approach, the project is divided into increments and phases to allow for rapid development. Increment I focuses on three functional areas: the Communications Subsystem, the Processing and Display Subsystem, and the Sensor Data Subsystem. The first two will be achieved by upgrading existing equipment, specifically the AN/MRQ-12(v)3 and AN/TSQ-239 systems, while the Sensor Data Subsystem will be developed based on mature technology assessments. To support this effort, an Industry Day conference was scheduled for June 10, 2010, in Dumfries, Virginia, to provide vendors with program details and gather feedback for future solicitations. Participation was restricted to U.S. citizens and companies due to potential ITAR restrictions. While the event served as a primary means for industry engagement and information gathering, it did not constitute a formal solicitation for proposals. The associated award notice for Increment I, Phase 2 is categorized under NAICS code 541330 and managed through the Department of Defense in Quantico, Virginia.
