An invitation is extended to Industry operating in the local business community of Tyndall AFB, Florida to learn more about Installation Acquisition Transformation (IAT). Industry partners are encouraged to attend a briefing and ask questions during the forum on Monday, 10 March 2008 from 10:30-11:30 at the 325th Contracting Squadron, Building 647, located at Tyndall AFB, Florida. If you plan to attend, please email your company name, phone number and number of attendees to norma.myers@tyndall.af.mil by 6 March 2008. Base entry procedures and directions are listed below. Current information on IAT can be found at the following website:https://www.safaq.hq.af.mil/contracting/public/iat/ ENTRY PROCEDURES - Tyndall has two gates; the Sabre Gate is located on U.S. Highway 98 at Sabre Drive, and the Main Gate also located on U.S. Highway 98 at Illinois Avenue. Both gates are open 24 hours. Pass & Registration is located in the visitor's center on U.S. Highway 98, directly across from the Sabre Gate. - Temporary vehicle entry: -- Rental Vehicles - (1) a current rental agreement and, (2) valid driver's license. -- Privately Owned Vehicles (POV: (1) a valid driver's license, (2) current proof of Insurance and (3) current vehicle registration. - You will need to stop at the visitor control center to obtain a temporary tag for entry onto Tyndall Air Force Base. DIRECTIONS Enter Tyndall AFB From US Hwy 98. After obtaining a base pass from the Visitor Control Center, turn left back on to US Hwy 98 (eastbound). At the next four-way traffic intersection merge right and follow the turning lane into Illinois Gate. Upon entering the gate, Bldg 647 is the first building on the right (across from the flag park). Turn right at the sign pointing to Contracting which will take you to a parking lot facing Hwy 98 (on the north side of the facility). Enter through the double glass doors and look for signs directing you to the large conference room.
