The Federal Aviation Administration requires the upgrade of 20 Inertial Reference Units for its Beech-300 Flight Inspection aircraft fleet, replacing part number HG2100AB06 with HG2195 Special Mission units featuring Integrated Vertical Acceleration output. This modernization of the Airborne Flight Inspection System is critical for the safe operation of the National Air Space. Due to the necessity of Supplemental Type Certification and the proprietary nature of the hardware and software, the requirement is currently identified as a single source with Honeywell Defense and Space as the original equipment manufacturer. Interested vendors must provide written proof of authorized access to all proprietary OEM data, including specifications, drawings, and certification capabilities, to be considered. The FAA will not accept proposals based on the intent to obtain data or develop new specifications. This market survey is an informational request and does not constitute a formal request for proposal or a contractual obligation. Responses must be submitted to the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center by January 31, 2008.
