Full Description

The U.S. Government Printing Office (GPO) has a requirement to procure three different types of security papers for the manufacturing of U.S. Passports. The paper contains unique watermarks and security threads that have been tested extensively to work in combination with the special inks, designs, and other materials. Crane and Company is the manufacturer of the current passport paper. GPO intends to issue a sole source contract in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 to the Crane and Company. This notice is neither a request for proposal nor a solicitation of offers. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, issoley within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All parties interested may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. See Note 22.
