99 - Schiebel Miniature Mine DeTectors

Marine Corps Systems Command plans to award a sole source contract to Schiebel Technology, Inc. for the procurement of 16 Schiebel Miniature Mine Detectors (MIMID). These detectors are lightweight, compact, and collapsible devices specifically designed to locate buried ordnance and mines with minimal metal content. The primary purpose of this acquisition is to supply training equipment for exercises at Mojave Viper in Twentynine Palms, California. The contract will be awarded under Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b), reflecting the sole source nature of the procurement.
