99--Thermocouple Harness Kits

This is an amendment to previous synopsis/pre-solicitation notices for commerical supplies prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 5.207, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD), Philadelphia PA intends to procurement (30) thermocouple harness kits under the technical directive Gas Turbine Change (GTC) 96. The thermocouple harness kits consist of the following GE parts: 1) 3 Probe Harness, Quantity of three (3) (P/N L44722P02) 2) 2 Probe harness, Quantity of one (1) (P/N L44721P02) 3) Thermocouple Probes, Quantity of eleven (11) (P/N L44830P01) The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate on a limited source basis with only three (3)known qualifying sources listed below under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1): 1) Ametek, Inc., 50 Fordham Road, Wilmington, MA 01887-2177 (Cage 97424); 2) J.G.W. (International) LTD, 1801 Robert Fulton Drive, Reston, VA 20191-4347 (Cage 1C8B0); and, 3) Harco Laboratories, Inc., 186 Cedar Street, Branford, CT 06405-6011 (Cage 00060). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotes. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive offers and does not constitute a solicitation. However, all offers received within 15 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Govenrment not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely wthin the discretion of the Govenrment. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Delivery of the items is due 60 days after date of contract award.
