AI Contract Overview

The U.S. Army Rapid Equipping Force is seeking existing technologies to quickly enhance operational capabilities in three key areas. They require a remotely piloted, untethered aerial vehicle capable of loitering silently or quietly for 3-4 days at altitudes between 12,000 and 25,000 feet above ground level, carrying payloads of 1,000 to 2,000 pounds over austere terrain. This vehicle must be operable from a safe launch location 40 to 80 kilometers away from its target loiter area and is intended primarily for communications relay or persistent surveillance, with a focus on near-term deployment rather than research and development. Additionally, the contract solicits efficient electrical power sources, including innovative solar power solutions, and an aerial magnetometer capable of scanning 60 feet ahead of a convoy to enhance situational awareness on the move. Firms with existing products addressing any of these needs are encouraged to contact designated U.S. facilitators based in London to connect with the Rapid Equipping Force. The solicitation emphasizes rapid fielding of proven technologies to support ongoing military operations.
