The project purpose is to stabilize and cover an exposed natural gas transmission line within Long Gulch Creek which has become exposed along the eastern bank and has insufficient pipeline cover along the western bank. The Project involves the inspection and maintenance of the gas line along both banks of Long Gulch Creek, installation of Class II Rock Slope Protection (RSP), backfill with engineered fill and native fill along both banks, and installation of a temporary equipment ramp. A temporary timber mat bridge will be installed to cross an unnamed tributary to access the main work area.
The overall goal is to mitigate the exposed line and provide safe operation of the L-177A pipeline.
