This procurement requires the following: Interior renovation work includes first floor mezzanine mechanical room. Work will include the removal of asbestos from all piping and ductwork throughout the work limits of the project, demolition and removal of A/C units 6 & 8. Demolition work must comply with GSA Construction Waste Management requirements. New construction will include floor finishes, painting of walls, ceiling and duct work. Mechanical systems will include installation of A/C unit #6, revising supply and return duct work and grilles, mechanical piping. Electrical system improvements will include the installation of new high-efficiency lighting and new electrical equipment for new A/C 6, including disconnect switch, starter, wiring, etc. The performance period will be 180 calendar days. The estimated price of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. This procurement is set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) concerns. The NAICS Code is 238220 with a size standard of $12 million. This is a negotiated, best-value procurement. Proposals will be evaluated on past performance and price. The solicitation will be available o/a May 22, 2014. (The actual date for receipt of proposals, and for a pre-proposal conference, will be stated in the solicitation.)
