A--Graduate Support for Accumulating Materials for Future Research Publications

The Cleveland VAMC Acquisition Group in Brecksville, Ohio intends to negotiate a sole source contract with the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Case Western Reserve University, an affiliate of the Cleveland VAMC in Cleveland, Ohio. The contract covers a wide range of specialized services including literature review, instrumentation design and prototyping, hardware construction, computer programming for signal processing, documentation of hardware and software, biomechanical simulation and gait analysis, mechanical and statistical analysis, and the experimental implementation of systems and Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) controllers. The government has determined that only one responsible source is capable of fulfilling these specific technical and research requirements. Interested parties who believe they have the capability to meet the requirements may submit their interest in writing by September 6, 2005. The Contracting Officer holds sole discretion to decide whether or not to compete the contract based on any responses received.
