This is not a Request for Project Proposals, and is intended for planning purposes only. This is not a solicitation. No contract award will be made pursuant to this announcement. The Government intends to release a Request for Project Proposal (RPP) for the execution of project awards in support of Homeland Defense and related Research Areas. The purpose of this announcement is to provide members of the Consortium for System of Systems Security (SOSSEC), and industry in general, advanced notification of the Government's intent. It is the intent of the Government to make multiple project awards to the members of the SOSSEC Consortium as a result of member project proposals submitted via the RPP. The anticipated Research Areas for which project proposals will be sought is as follows: 1. Critical Infrastructure, Key Resources, and Force Protection 2. Command and Control Technology Development 3. Sensor Development and Platform Implementation 4.
