This announcement serves as an advanced notification to inform members of the Robotics Technology Consortium and industry stakeholders of the Government's intention to release a Request for Project Proposals (RPP) under an Other Transaction Agreement (OTA) focused on Ground Robotics research and development. No project awards will be made from this announcement itself; rather, it sets the stage for a forthcoming solicitation. The Government previously formed the Robotics Technology Consortium following a Ground Robotics Industry Day and plans to award projects exclusively to consortium members based on their submitted proposals. The targeted research area for the anticipated project proposals is the development of small fuel cell power systems emphasizing cost reduction and reliability improvements. The solicitation referenced by number W15QKN14Z1106 is issued by the Department of Defense’s office located at Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey, and falls under NAICS code 541330, which pertains to engineering services. This notification underscores the Government's strategic collaboration with a single consortium to advance ground robotics technology through focused R&D initiatives. While the precise timeline and execution details will be provided in the future RPP, this outreach aims to prepare interested parties for forthcoming opportunities to contribute to small fuel cell power system advancements within the robotics domain.
