This Request for Information (RFI)/Sources Sought (SS) Notice is for market research, information and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation on the part of Walter Reed Army Institute of Research or the US Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA). WRAIR is headquartered in Silver Springs, MD. The mission of the WRAIR is to conduct biomedical research that is responsive to Department of Defense and US Army requirements and delivers life saving products including knowledge, technology and medical material that sustain the combat effectiveness of the Warfighter. WRAIR is seeking Small Business sources that have the knowledge and capabilities to provide technical expertise and support services necessary to perform histopathology and immunohistochemistry in support of the Brain Trauma, Neuroprotection and Neurorestoration (BTNN) Branch, Center for Military Psychiatry and Neuroscience, WRAIR. The services will include: rat tissue processing (brain and peripheral organs), various histological and immunohistological staining/labeling, and storage and preservation of spare tissues for later use. This announcement is not a formal solicitation and is not a request for proposal. No contract will be awarded from this announcement. No reimbursement will be made of any costs to provide information in response to this announcement or any follow up information requests.
