Pursuant to FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii), the Carderock Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center, proposes to modify the sole-source Fixed Price type contract N00167-04-C-0021, awarded to Oregon Iron Works, (OIW) on 30 Dec 2003, for construction of a follow-on SEALION Technology Demonstration Craft. The objective of the contract modification is to delete selected work from 3 existing contract options, and add one new option to design, build, and integrate a modular marine missile system into the base craft as a modular payload. Exercise of the options is expected to lengthen the period of performance to approximately 36 months. When completed, the craft will be used by the Navy to provide a test-bed for littoral warfare concepts and equipment. See Note 22.
