The U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command (RDECOM) Contracting Center plans to negotiate and award a sole source contract to Exponent, Inc. for ongoing engineering and development work related to Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) systems. This action is a continuation of a previous contract with Exponent, Inc., and awarding the contract to any other vendor would cause duplication of costs and unacceptable delays. While Exponent, Inc. is the intended recipient, the contracting center is still accepting written expressions of interest from other responsible sources until December 18, 2009, and will consider any timely submissions. The contract supports work both within the continental United States (CONUS) and outside the continental United States (OCONUS). The solicitation, posted under the number W91CRB-DURACRETESYNOPSIS and associated with NAICS code 541330, is managed by the Department of Defense office located at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. All inquiries regarding this requirement must be submitted in writing and directed to Greg Wagenknecht, who serves as the primary point of contact. This procurement aims to leverage Exponent, Inc.’s existing expertise and continuity in GPR system development to ensure efficiency and avoid project setbacks.
