THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract under statutory authority Section 4202 of the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996 as implemented by FAR 13.501(a), "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements." United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), 7701 Tampa Point Blvd, Tampa, FL 33621, requires Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training (ACCET) Site Visit during the month of June 2015. The 6th Contracting Squadron intends to make an award to ACCET. Interested parties may e-mail joyce.wright@us.af.mil, not later than Thursday, May 21; 9:00am EST. V. DEMONSTRATION THAT THE CONTRACTORS UNIQUE QUALIFICATIONS OR NATURE OF THE ACQUISITION REQUIRES THE USE OF THE AUTHORITY CITED ABOVE (APPLICABILITY OF AUTHORITY) Without maintaining accreditation, JSOU will be unable to sustain accreditation for any courses that are taught at the lower level division for Special Operations Forces. The Joint Special Operations University is currently an accredited education and training institution through Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training (ACCET) which is only able to grant accreditation at the lower division undergraduate level. ACCET is the officially recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. The current contract - FA4814-11-P-0004 expires on 30 September and in order to obtain a new contract and keep JSOU accredited, this site visit is required by ACCET for them to inspect and ensure JSOU is following ACCET standards and requirements.
