The City of Malibu is overseeing a residential construction project located at 27244 Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, California. The scope of work includes a 128 square foot single-story addition, interior and exterior remodeling, and a 273 square foot deck extension. Additional site improvements involve the abandonment of an existing grey water pit, the removal of railroad tie steps in the front yard, the installation of a new decomposed granite pathway, and new landscaping. This project is managed under Administrative Plan Review No. 23-019 and includes Coastal Development Permit Exemption No. 24-267, Demolition Permit No. 24-052, and Categorical Exemption No. 24-268. It has been deemed exempt from further CEQA review under Guidelines Sections 15301(e), 15303(e), and 15304(b), as the work involves existing facilities, small new construction, and minor land alterations with no anticipated significant environmental impacts.
