ADVANCED STABILIZED GLIDE SLOPE INDICATOR (ASGI)

A five-year, fixed-price Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) has been awarded solely to Calzoni S.R.L. (CAGE: A0461) for the procurement of the Advanced Stabilized Glide Slope Indicator (ASGSI) system, encompassing hardware, technical support services, software updates, repairs, repair parts, materials, technical data, and associated travel. The agreement, issued under solicitation N68335-25-0483, is structured as a non-competitive acquisition justified under FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)(B) due to Calzoni’s exclusive ownership of the proprietary design, technical data, and engineering expertise originally developed for the DDG-1000 program, making it the only responsible source capable of meeting Navy requirements. Total estimated funding for the period FY2026–FY2031 is up to $6 million, allocated equally between Shipbuilding and Conversion, Navy, and Other Procurement, Navy appropriations. Performance and delivery will originate from Calzoni’s facility in Calderera di Reno, Bologna, Italy, with final delivery points determined by the Contracting Officer at the time of order issuance, primarily to Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey. The ASGSI system, which includes a stabilized optical glide slope indicator assembly, watertight optical enclosure, control cabinet, and mounting table, must comply with Naval Sea Systems Command environmental qualifications and is designed for sustained shipboard operations in maritime conditions. While no detailed line-item pricing, CLIN structure, or specific packaging, marking, or barcoding standards are provided, the acquisition relies on prior successful performance and OEM integrity for acceptance, with inspection and final approval resting with the U.S. Navy. The Contracting Officer will issue individual task orders under the BOA, with no plans for future competition, and no socioeconomic set-asides, option years, or formal clauses are specified beyond the statutory sole-source justification.
