Advanced Technology Anti-Gravity Suit (ATAGS) Material Obsolescence Effort - RFI

The U.S. Department of Defense, through the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at Robins Air Force Base, Georgia, is conducting market research under Request for Information FA8533-26-ATAGS2 to identify qualified sources capable of supporting the Material Obsolescence Effort for the Advanced Technology Anti-Gravity Suit (ATAGS), specifically the CSU-22/P and CSU-23/P models, and the legacy CUS-13 B/P g-suit assemblies. The effort requires contractors to provide comprehensive engineering, manufacturing, and testing capabilities including on-site design, tooling, remanufacturing of obsolete or defective components, development of technical data packages, technical orders, and drawings, as well as execution of First Article Testing (FAT) and other qualification tests to ensure compliance with MSF880/5-ATP-GEN-0 REV B and DoDM 4120.24 (SD-6) standards. Participants must demonstrate the ability to conduct end-to-end production and delivery of serviceable g-suit assemblies that meet all government specifications, with a focus on sustaining critical airman protective equipment through replacement of discontinued parts. The government requires vendors to possess a documented quality management system aligned with ISO 9001 or AS9100, and to handle Secret-level classified discussions and materials, including maintaining secure on-site facilities for storage and modifications, with potential access to Special Access Program Facilities being a consideration. Respondents must provide detailed business information including company name, address, CAGE code, point of contact, phone number, email, and website, along with full socioeconomic certifications indicating Small Business, Woman-Owned Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business, 8(a) status, HUBZone certification, Veteran-Owned Small Business, or Service-Disabled Veteran Small Business status. Offerors must also confirm SAM registration and disclose domestic or foreign ownership. Teaming arrangements and joint ventures are encouraged, and respondents must clearly articulate each partner’s role and scope of work. The government has not yet determined set-aside status or contract value, but has proposed NAICS codes 315210, 541715, and 315990 for industry classification. Participation in this RFI does not guarantee future contract award, and respondents will bear all costs associated with their submission.
